“I feel honored to get to work on behalf of the Hispanic/Latino community of Price Hill with Bloc Ministries and I am so optimistic about reaching out to the entire city of Cincinnati and more.”
- Walter Vasquez, Director of Hispanic/Latino Outreach
Redeemed Home is a transitional living home for female survivors of addiction, prostitution, abuse, and other trauma, focused on healing and finding wholeness through Jesus. We value relationships and consistency, as we believe that great healing can come from Christ-centered relationships. We expect our volunteers to have the same values and understand that we are a faith-based program. It is important that our volunteers are aware of the handbook expectations set for the residents, and can do their best to uphold the rules, but ultimately our greatest focus is for strong women of faith to build meaningful relationships and become a consistent, loving part of the lives of our women at Redeemed Home. Each volunteer will participate in a mandatory one-on-one training with our volunteer coordinator in one of the Redeemed houses before covering a shift on their own. The level of commitment and frequency of volunteering is up to the determination of the volunteer, and we will not ask a volunteer to cover more than one shift in a day. Prior to their scheduled shift, our volunteers will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator and filled in on any important details and events that are taking place during their shift. Each weekend, we have an on-call staff member who will be available to assist our volunteers by answering any questions they may have and being available in the event of an emergency or urgent situation.
